Telling the story of My Life

berjalan pun sambil membaca buku

Allahumma Ammiin.

the inspiring professor: I wanna be

Believe it or not, in live we need someone we wanna to be, someone we admire him/her, someone who continuously  inspiring and encouraging us a long life.

As new lecturer, sometime I do need a model.  I mean ideal model, like whom i supposed to be. Unfortunately, since my department is one of the newest departments in my University I do not find it. So, sometime I feel my career in this department is directionless. I know there are other lecturers in this department. However, I do not find one of them is the “real” lecturer. I knew them, just do it as a profession and for making money. I do hope, I was wrong. What I mean “real” lecturer here is the one who fully dedicates his/her life for educating student, nurturing  science and technology, and finally giving something beneficial for public.

Till, one day I met a Professor in my University. He is still young professor. But, I find him as perfect model for what I call “real” lecturer. He inspired me to keep on learning, researching, and writing. Thank a lot for him.

Friends:Good Luck Guys !

We always  sholat (prayer) together, especially for Dhuhur and Ashar. In Islam pray together is 27 times better than alone. He always available when I invite him to do prayer. This October 4th, This very tall guy will fly to Kumamoto Japan, his dreaming country for pursuing his Master at Kumamoto University. Good Luck Dude !

Amel is the second one from left hand side in this picture. Amelia is cheerful girl in my Office. She can make something ordinary be something extraordinary. She can make our silent office to Joyful place.  She is extrovert as well, the thing I like much from her. She went in the same place with Tyas for pursuing her master degree. Good Luck, Amel !

Andre Parvian, Raras, Amna, and Annisa are the others. I can see fruitful and different thing from each individual of them. I do hope it will be something that will be cherished. Thank you and Good Luck !

the 17 (seventeen) secret

Today is Friday, 17 th September 2010. I think it is very “good” day. Since it is Friday (mother of days for muslimeen in a week). The same thing for Seventeenth. 17 th birth day is special one. 17 is the number of rakaat all muslimeen pray in a day. 17 is the date of Independent day of my country. 17 is the date Quran is firstly delivered. For me, 17 What is it means?

Today is the anniversary of my marriage. For months ago is my marriage. Oh… the time went by swift. There are some significant changes in my Life. However, there must be laugh and cry in life, right? The thing make me laugh is the presence of my wife that kill my loneliness so far, and now she is pregnant in first trimester. Just like another new couple, It really make us happy, waiting for the presence of our first son/daughter. The thing make me cry is “No Need” insya Allah. For me, No need to cry for each single stage of this life, how hard it is.

Sometime, I wonder would I  make my happy family come true some day, later? But, firstly, we must define what happiness is . What is happiness, for you? this question remind me an inspiring movie : “The pursuit of happiness”. Obviously, everyone has his/her own definition. However, most of people define a happiness is having much money, glamorous fashion,  luxurious house and car, enjoying holidays at some prestigious places, having beautiful/handsome and sexy wife/husband and so far.

For me, happiness is when we can tie  a meaning in each single step of Life. For me, this life  is no more than a temporary stopover for next real life i.e. Hereafter.
